December 20, 1975 was a historic day in Port Neches-Groves Indian football history. The Indians traveled to Texas Stadium to challenge powerhouse Odessa Permian for the AAAA state football title, and emerged from that cold and windy day as the 1975 AAAA State Champions.
This 9 minute and 48 second introduction to that championship game, and the first quarter of the game are one of the few audio or video artifacts known to exist. Originally recorded from the live radio broadcast onto 8-track tapes, it was recovered from an attic thirty years later and converted to digital audio.
This is a rare treasure for PN-G fans who desire to revisit the sounds of that long past state championship game day.
