Senior quarterback Roschon Johnson started friday night’s district game against Dayton within 142 yards of matching Adam Morse’s all-time PN-G passing yardage record of 6,298 yards.
Johnson surpassed that in the first half when he hit a streaking Peyton Proenza with a 35 yard touchdown strike in the second quarter of the game.
With at least 3 games remaining in the season, Johnson now has 6,537 career passing yards, 73 TDs, and only 15 interceptions. His completion percentage is also a stellar 65%.
In the 44-37 win over Dayton, Johnson went 26 of 44 for 382 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.
He also managed to set the all-time record for career passing touchdowns (73), come within 1 yard of equaling Morse’s all-time yardage for a game (383), and moved into the number 3 all-time spot for completions in a single game (26).
