“Cherokee,” is the official fight song of Port Neches-Groves High School and is played following touchdowns and extra points at football games, as well as many other occasions. One of the most recognizable fight songs in Texas high school football, “Cherokee” is based on a 1938 Jazz standard by Ray Noble, later rearranged by former Port Neches band director Frank Giovale.
