Bobby LaBorde ran for 3,193 yards and scored 29 touchdowns during his three seasons on the Reservation. He was selected to the 1954 and 1955 All-State teams and went on to play college football with the Rice Owls.
LaBorde, along with fellow runnng back Gordon LeBoeuf, led the Indians to three straight state final appearances from 1953 to 1955 including two state championships in ’53 and ’55. Also known as “The Touchdown Twins”, the two combined for 7,987 rushing yards and 78 touchdowns during their high school careers.
