The annual Beaumont newspaper Super Gold Football team includes 5 Port Neches-Groves Indians from the 2023 state championship team.
Head coach Jeff Joseph was also named Coach of the year for the second year in a row.
The Indians completed a 15-1 season with a 20-17 win over the defending state champion South Oak Cliff Bears. It was the second consecutive year that the Indians and Bears met in the 5A Division II championship game.
